I grew up in Dinwiddie County, and I always wanted to work as an attorney in the area in which I was raised. I looked forward to a time when I could help the residents of my community with their legal matters and questions.
I started working with John B. Chappell in 2015 as a legal assistant and continued to work here during the school year and breaks while I was in law school. At the same time, I participated in clinics at school during the year and interned at County Attorney's Offices over the summers.
I represent clients in traffic and landlord-tenant cases. I also handle matters involving real estate closings, estate planning, and small businesses. I want my clients to have peace of mind, and I enjoy helping them protect their interests by drafting deeds, leases, contracts, notices, and wills for them.
Outside of the office, I spend most of my free time with my husband, our two children, and our other family members. I enjoy playing in slow-pitch softball leagues and tournaments with my sisters and friends. When I am not involved in sports, I like to read books and visit local historical sites and museums.
