FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS CONTACT US TODAY
JOHN CHAPPELL
My family has lived in the area for generations so it was natural for me to want to live and work here. Growing up, I had known the local attorneys, all of whom were respected members of the community. I decided early on to take that route as well. I have spent my entire career practicing law here in Dinwiddie County, serving Dinwiddie County as well as surrounding counties (primarily Sussex County).
My practice consists mainly of traffic cases, real estate transactions, wills, trusts & estate planning and small business. I enjoy my work. The challenge of evaluating a client’s situation and working out the best plan of action is both challenging and enjoyable.
There’s nothing I haven’t seen when it comes to traffic law. When you have a problem, I’m the solution.
My wife and I have three grown children and plenty of grandchildren to fuss over. After the children were grown, my wife and I have made it a point to take several trips each year. My wife is an excellent trip planner. We have visited all 50 US states and made more than a dozen overseas trips and plan to continue to do so.
I enjoy playing bridge. I also do local historical research and write an occasional article for the Dinwiddie County Historical Society.
